Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Neufeld obtained his B.S. in Biology from UCLA and his O.D. degree from Southern College of Optometry, where he graduated with honors. He has a strong passion for providing personable, thorough, and informative care to all his patients. He believes that the best eye exam comes from truly understanding a patient and getting to know their individual needs.
In addition to being a clinician, Dr. Neufeld has given Continuing Education lectures to fellow optometrists, served on expert panels, and has written many articles on topics such as specialty contact lenses and myopia control for optometric publications. He has also founded two other companies: one that provides professional/financial resources to optometrists and their practices; and another that utilizes Virtual Reality technology to innovate the field of optometry.
Dr. Neufeld is an active member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Santa Clara County Optometric Association, Los Altos Rotary Club, and Los Altos Chamber of Commerce. He is also Paragon CRT certified.
In his spare time, Dr. Neufeld is a fitness enthusiast who also enjoys listening to/playing music, traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Jeffrey Kong is a full time assistant clinical professor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry. After completing his B.S. in Bioengineering at UC San Diego, he completed his optometric training at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and the Cornea and Contact Lens Residency at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
He has a strong commitment to education and mentorship, teaching students and residents in myopia management and specialty contact lenses. He has also presented lectures and posters in the specialty contact lens field and serves as a mentor in the American Academy of Optometry Fellowship Program. This background underlies his patient-centric approach to eyecare, empowering patients to understand their eyes and contact lenses. In his free time, Dr. Kong enjoys ultimate frisbee, bouldering, and finding the best places to eat.
